    Hi,

I just want to ask a question about floor screed. We have 6-8 approx inches from sub floor to finished floor and in places it's very uneven.
The plan is to get the plumber to put down pipes for water, waste etc and to then pour 50-60 mm of levelling screed to level the floor, to put 75 mm insulation on this (which would be very neat and have no gaps as we would not have to cut around pipes) lay underfloor pipes on top (with plastic in between) and finish with 50mm easypour screed. regs with our planning permission is 50mm insulation, regs at the minute is 75mm so I would meet this. My thinking is that as I will have underfloor heating I don't want the finished floor screed to vary in depth as this could effect heat. Am I right in this or would people advise me to put more insulation in.

Would I be better putting another 50-60mm insulation instead of the levelling screed. Should I not be concerned about uneven depth in finished floor?
thanks in advance for all replies.
