    Or a scratchcard?

I won another lotto ticket off of last Saturday's draw and I won 5 euro a few weeks ago.

    What about you?..... Aye?

A few of us in work won two grand between us in the euromillions,it was quite cool actually because i almost never took part in the syndicate, beliving,in my cynical way that we'd never win.

I think the whole thing is a tax on the poor and credulous,i often see poor old grannies in the shops spending huge chunks of thier pension on quickpicks and scratchcards.

They are old, what else would they buy? Presumably they get food, and have their houses paid for one way or another. So they use the excess on hopes of hitting the lotto, to pay for a good funeral! :P

£25 million - it was on the UK lottery. Funnily enough, I don't even remember buying a ticket for it, but a nice gentleman from the Lottery in the UK, emailed me about it & said that he would arrange for the money to be deposited in my bank account.

Great to see I'm not the only one that figures out how many "proper" penny sweets could be bought when hearing about a large sum of money.

When I was 7, I got £5 from a relative and marched straight to the local shop, under the radar from my parents and demanded they sell me the entire jar of penny sweets (incl. the jar). On the way to the shop my imagination ran wild as I thought of how I would go down in history as the kid who actually had a jar of penny sweets in his house.

Anyway, no joy, and I left with small bag of fruit salads and utter disappointment that my plan had failed. :(

As for the lotto, I won £10 on a scratch card once.

Thats why you always see poor old grannies on Winning Streak. There's never any young people on it.

Eh, they 'chose' to pay for it! Last time I checked, most of us wouldn't 'choose' to pay tax!

Most I ever one was with 5 numbers in the 90's. Think it nailed me a whole £400 or something....

We were one number away from a 500 grand payout..even divided up it would've been a fair chunk of cash each...more than enough to buy a barren field and rant and rave about it.

€125 the very first time I did the lotto. €25 last year on a scratch card, which I bought because a birdy pooped on my head on the way to the shops and I'd heard somewhere that was supposed to be good luck.
