Griffith Ball - Anyone going?

Bought my ticket for the Ball today. Was wondering if there was anyone here going? I had number 350ish as my ticket number - is that the real number or are the SU pulling the piss? I was at the one last year and there was no way there was 350 at it!

i think it is the case tbh, from reports around folk whom mingle with the su, was all set to buy one today, but my class all bailed

Ah right. That's pretty ****. Suppose you're right, it is more than likely true, there was like 4 people ahead of me when I went in and bought my ticket. Unlucky with ur class guessing they probably holding out for the Trinity Ball are they? - maybe should should just round up one or two and go..!

No there was MAYBE 250 I reckon...at a push! I was chatting to one of the SU guys they were saying last year was the lowest ever, nobody went cause of the price but this year its pretty damn cheap at E39...well I think so anyway! I was thinking of going to Trinity myself but got bailed on by mate. To be honest though the thought of missing Dizzee Rascal won't be keeping me up at night!

They are €50 now. It's still not bad, I paid 70 or 80 last year!

You would have paid €70 last year. There is a very good crowd going this year, the reason it quite obviously the €39 offer that we did - alot of students took us up on it, about twice as many as we originally estimated would.

We'll also be reserving tables soon for groups of 10, so you can pre-book a table rather than sprinting to it when the Ballroom door opens while trying to hold a pint and a glass of champagne!...messy!

There is tickets left but we reckon at the current rate it will be a sell-out by Tuesday or Wednesday of next week.

You'd be surprised at the amount of people that come in looking for a single ticket - there is a lot of Griffith Heads flying solo
