Pozzato out-gunned Boonen last year in this tough semi-classic and looking at the field this is going to be one tough and keenly contested race. Irish interest in that An Post Sean Kelly team is riding. Great to see Mark Cassidy Conor McConvey and Ronan McLaughlin mixing it with the big boys. Best of luck lads. Race is on Saturday
This is really the showdown on who will be the main contenders for Tour of Flanders. Boonen, Flecha, Cancellara, Pozzato EBH (has slight achilles problem so may be waiting for Gent Wevelgem on Sunday) DeVolder, Breschel, Arvesen,, Hoste Chavanel. Ivanov. Boom. Anybody like to take their pick?

I think Greg Van Avermaet has a good outside chance but probably Boonen pipping Pozzato and Cancellera.
