Hi what are the dates you are allowed to repair damage done by floods to river banks?
    Thanks

thanks to the green party, a law was introduced preventing rivers from been cleaned out of any blockages, hence all the flooding in recent times, seems the fish are more important!!

Never heard of a law preventing repairing a river bank at any time. And we have reclaimed land next to a tidal estuary. Just know if it has to be done it will be done regardless because of the effect any damage could have (flooding of farmland). There's no environmental damage involved in rebuilding a wall etc anyway.

Broadly speaking instream works are not allowed by law in the annual closed season, which is typically from Oct to Mar, and further curtailed from Mar to May.
So generally instream works are carried out during the months of June to Sept.
I can only speak in broad terms without knowing the exact river as this will have a huge bearing on it.
My first port of call would be the OPW if this is an OPW channel?
Otherwise your local Inland Fisheries office will be able to advise on the status of your river.
Damage of this nature often has underlying reasons which may need to be addressed.
