With the help of GPS and vehicle-to-vehicle communication the EN-V can choose its own driving route. Equipped with different cameras and sensors, EN-V can react to changes around it to avoid accidents.

Powered by lithium-ion batteries it has a range of 40 km (25 miles) and weighs less than 500 kg (1100 lbs). For full details see the press release after the break.

Not bad actually. I like the idea, though the price is probably absurd.

tons of pics here with a press release.

doesn't look practical for anything really. A pedal bike is a much simpler solution and only lacks a roof compared to that.

I doubt it'd be much faster than a bike either

my guess is that if they'd produce it now it would be more expensive than some cheap small cars. pedal bike is nice, but this one seats two and you don't have to pedal all the way to work. also faster, safer and keeps you dry and warm.

Agree with that, while a pedal bike makes a million times more sense than one of those, humans are lazy and crave comfort, anything that will get them to work without needing to exert themselves and keep them dry and comfortable will sell.

(obviously they would only be useful within large cities)
