Hi,

am looking to buy wireless internet radio, so that I can listen to Irish radio stations streaming abroad,

anybody got any recommendations, would like something <100 euro if poss, saw the logitech squeezebox but at 179 little too expensive,
don't mind bricks and mortar shop or online

Most radio stations already stream there own stations onto the internet which you can connect in to when abroad.
Heres the first 3 I checked:

But I don't want to turn on laptop everytime I want to tune in, there are radios out there that work like alarm clock, traditional radio, but I don't know where to get one <100 euro

You can get the squeezebox for €149 delivered from amazon if you really wanted the squeezebox : Linkage


Philips have a music streamer with internet radio which works out at €110 delivered: linkage

Pretty sure I seen some in Harvey Norman in Dundalk last week for well under € 100 if I recall. I can't remember the brand but it looked identical to this
