Airsofteire are an excellent site - can highly recommend them. They also have a new walk-in store in Dundalk (although I have yet to visit it).

Honestly, I think you are better off walking into a shop to try out different guns as sometimes what looks great on the internet doesn't fit in your hand so well! If you are out skirmishing, ask the other players about their pistols - most people will be only to happy to let you try theirs out.

In answer to your question regarding the KJ Works M9, the short answer is yes - it's a fantastic gun. Well built and very reliable, it's always been my primary side-arm (despite having had a rake of GBBs!) and has never let me down.

    Hope this helps. :)

I'd recommend a different version of that pistol by the same make (KJW) available from hobbyairsoft:

    http://hobbyairsoft.ie/products.php?cmd=detail&id=070508&cat=01&subcat=01#tab2

Basically it has a lower rail so you can attach a laser/light if you wish, but I recommend it because it takes CO2 out of the box, which means it's still effective during the winter months. It can operate with Green Gas as well. You can pick it up a little cheaper on MIA I think as well, as it's without the Beretta Trades.

But for €5 in the difference, I'd go with the Hobby Airsoft one...looks beautiful, and their customer service is brilliant so if you've any problems, they'll sort you out.

KJW as a brand; I've 5 KJW pistols and all are extremely reliable. Although to give you some perspective:

I once asked someone who has a lot of pistols pass through his customising desk, and he said that although the KJW is brilliant, that KSC is in a league of its own. So that in itself is worth bearing in mind

Cheers for the reply, ya pretty much answered all my questions.

I was down in a place in carlow last week test firing a good few handguns, i cant remember the name of the shop off hand. Nice shop and the guy there was dead sound.

A mate bought a KJ handgun there, i tink it was a m911a or something like that, lol.
It was absolutely lovely to fire, if he hadnt bought it i would of, hehe.

    Again, cheers for the reply.
I see its gas powered instead of c02, i guess it just wont perform too well if its really cold but should still be fine i think.

I stand to be corrected on this but I'm sure that the KJW M9's can take both Co2 and gas mags.I was told that mine can anyway.

    Edit : Didn't see Inari's post :o

The mags are the same, and will fit in either version. But as far as I know the ones I linked have a reinforced piston to deal with the additional stress of CO2 usage.

Thanks for the reply dude :-)

Just looking at that one on Hobby Airsoft, thats actually the gun i fired last weekend, it was really damn nice! My mate bought it, i just dont want to go buying the same gun as him. Just to mention, he also got it 25 euro cheaper than on hobby airsoft.

The gun on MIA is absolutely lovely! Pity its out of stock though.
I might make some calls tomorrow and see if anywhere has it in stock.

Thats the one I have, one of my favourite airsoft toys ever, the trades make it look even better imo.

Go with what suits you,if yea want a gas powered pistol go for one and like wise with the Co2,either way you wont be dissapointed :)
