Ipod touch battery

Just wondering if anybody else has the same problem with their ipod touch or if its a problem at all.

Bought my ipod last week and seems as if I may have a problem with the battery.
Charged the battery on Sunday. Used it for 10 to 15 mins on Monday morning going to work. Got to work and turned it off. It had a full battery. Lunchtime when I turned it back on again half the battery was gone. Turned it off after lunch. Turned it on again at going home time and it was showing me a warning message of low battery and gave me and option to dismiss. By nighttime battery was very low but not dead. Only used it for about 50 to 60 mins in total yesterday. I have the brightness on low, the volume is sometimes high. So I figured it must be turning it on and off that eats the battery.

Left it on standby all day today, and battery is fuller.

 that's not normal, you don't have wifi/bluetooth turned on by any chance? Even if there not connected having them switched on drains battery.

    Dont have wifi/bluetooth on.

Just turned it off there, and back on. Before turning it off there was only a little bit of the battery gone. Now its at thd half way mark.

In situations like this it's usually a good idea to do a restore before contacting Apple about it.

Can I ask whats a restore. I'm new to ipods. I figured out how to use itunes and add music to it all very quickly. But haven't a clue what a restore is. Must have to say I love my ipod and cant believe I lived all my life without one. I wanted to get an ipod for years and actually intended on buying the ipod classic but changed my mind at the very last minute and bought the ipod touch and I love it.

A restore will wipe your iPod and return it to it's factory settings, this will delete all the data in your apps and your music/movies or anything else that you have on it. So be careful to back up anything you don't want to lose first.

    Here's a quick guide:
