Need help please. Just got a new laptop and when I try and watch videos on YouTube they just keep starting and stopping which I think is known as buffering. As you can tell - I am new to computers!! How can I stop this happening? Please go easy on me and explain it in simple terms. I have itunes loaded onto the laptop - would that be causing a problem.

Thanks for your help (if you are going to help me that is !!!!)

It's down to your connection speed to the internet. If your broadband and isn't fast enough or consistent, then the player has to buffer the content, i.e. it is not being downloaded fast enough to play. What speed connection do you have?

That makes sense cos our internet coverage is quite poor in the area. We are currently using the O2 mobile broadband. Dont know what speed it is, but is not mega fast.

Is it anything to do with having itunes or firewall or anything like that. Had googled it and these were some of the things that came up as possible causes. But dont really understand all that tech language.
