    Hey,

I just discovered dust under the screen of my 3gs, and its very irratating, as I'm sure you can imagine.

According to Apple Im still covered by their hardware warranty til 25th of June, a quick google search uncovered that people haven't had much trouble when dealing with apple stores directly, obvioulsy outside ireland, any idea what the procedure is or even if this would be covered under said warranty.

Would I have to deal with O2? I would prefer not to as I have unlocked the phone and would rather not relock it, but if its the only option...

Ive tried contacting Apple support directly but when i select iphone support th line goes dead.

    Rgrds,
    Dave

    Have you called Apple on 1850 94 61 91?

I returned mine only a few weeks ago for the same reason... no problem

Just be sure to say you are looking for a replacement...

They should offer you 2 options

    1. You pay €29 euro non ref, they send you a new/refurb iPhone by UPS, and you send old iPhone back to them free, this option means you are not without your iPhone at all...

    2. You pay nothing, they collect your iPhone and once received they send you a new/refurb iPhone, takes about 5 business days...

Read through this link, different issue but shows how iPhone returned

really i was on to apple last week about it, they never offered the option to pay 29 and just swap it with ups, how did they take payment, was it with a credit card or what

Do what I did - Hover on low.. Suck around the edges and base.

    Job did :)
