I read before somewhere that there was a program that offered people half their yearly salary to setup their own business. Does anyone have any details on that? My business idea is not in manufacturing or exports - what if any benefits are available?

I don't think such a program exists.

You might be confusing it with BTWEA - but you have to be in receipt of a jobseeker's payment for that.
