Im starting to feed Beef 16 Nuts to 2 year old heifers with rationed silage to stretch out the silage. How much nuts should I be feeding them per day and how much silage would they need with it?

start feeding 2kg/head/per day you can increase by 2kg/per week .feed twice daily. at 6-8 kg /head/per day the only need a small amount of silage or roughage

I've been feeding 3kg of 3 way mix to my cows all winter and sparing the silage big time. Cows are all in good condition now. Dropping calves every day at the moment. No problem with big calves. Haven't had to use the Jack once this year and already have over 20 calves - all off charlais bull and Limousin x cows. I put the cows on dry silage only for at least 6 weeks before calving and I don't let them feed ad lib.

Why feed nuts? I wouldn't be a fan of them. You never know what's in them - mostly distillers I imagine. Distillers is the cheapest feed going. You will get a good 3 way mix for 180 euro per ton if you are buying in bulk. at least you'll know what you're feeding.
