catering start up

    hey guys was thinking of buying a hotdog stand to generate some extra income for the family does anyone no where and how much a street catering trading licence is ive bought a hot dog stand very similar to those in nyc all help in this matter would be much appreciated

    It depends where you want to trade and when. For example if in the city centre (Dublin) you need to apply for a trading licence from the city council. If for, say Dun Laoire pier it's Dun laoire Rathdown council. AFAIK the fees vary. You also need HACCP clearance (I think BEFORE the council will grant a licence. If you intend to trade at, say, a concert/match/festival you will need to buy a pitch from the organiser and the costs vary wildly depending on the gig/numbers expected etc. A gig like Electric Picnic will set you back a few grand again depending on what you're selling, and how much space you need.
