Advertising a Service & Self Assessment Tax

    Hey all,

    I'm thinking of setting up a land surveying business just doing 'nixers' at the weekend as I am currently working full-time. I have the following queries which I hope somewhere will be able to help me with;

    • To advertise a service, do you need to register as a business,
    • And if I register as a business do I need to carry out self assessment tax and all that stuff!

    I'm trying to keep things simple as I may not get much work out of it and don't want to get bogged down in paper work!

    Is there anything else I need to consider before I start?

    Thanks in advance
