    Hi Folks,

I saw the below sound recording course advertised on the peoples republic of cork website. There are a couple of courses at different levels. They are something that i'd be interested in as they are just one evening a week and are in my price range. Only prob is that they are in cork and i'm looking for something in DUblin.

Anyone know of anything similar in Dublin? I know lots of people on here have studios - is this kind of thing something that they would consider offering.

More details of the courses are on the website below.

    Sound Recording Course Level 1

12-week Evening Classes, taught by a professional sound engineer and teacher, in a Commercial Recording Studio (Douglas, Cork) Students get hands-on practice from week 1, and will get to Record and Mix a singer/songwriter.

    *** NOW BOOKING ***
    Still 2009 prices
120 Euro (deposit needed to secure your place)
Max. 10 students per class to maximise hands-on experience of each student

    New course dates;
Thursday 8th April-1st july (no class on 27th May) or
    Tuesday 13th April-29th june

    7pm - 9pm

A full week-by-week breakdown of the course can be found on www.carrigsound.com and go to the courses page.

Wowsers! A 10er a week... Doubt it'd be that cheap in Dubs.

Check out your local college's... they often run night courses for a similar price..

I know Clane (Scoil Muire i think) have a 5 week course for 55 Euro or so..

Maybe this link will help (not checked it out myself)..

There's one coming up soon enough.
We can't say anymore until Mid April. But it will be very good value.

Cool Studiorat. I'll keep an eye out here for more details about it at that stage. Maybe if you remember you could PM me the details just in case I miss it on boards.

    Thanks,
    RR
