Connecting iPhone to home wi-fi

    Hey

Im trying to connect my iPhone to my home wi-fi network, which is WPA2 protected.

I am definitely using the correct security code as i have just connected my laptop using the same code without any difficulty, however, the iPhone keeps insisting the code is invalid and wont connect to the network :(

I must be overlooking something. Any help would be greatly appreciated

I'd temporarily disable the security and see if iPhone connects. That way you know if wifi is OK. Then put security on again.
I've had problems with this a couple of times and it's been down to typos. You could email the password to iPhone and copy and paste.

Are you using Eircom with the Zyxel router they provide? If so I got that recently and i have been having loads of hassle with it.

I was on to them today and they said if you manually select a channel for the wifi instead of auto it could work better.

I've had the same issue with the Eircom at my parents house. Inputting the correct password, only to be told its not valid. GRRR !!

Will try the security thing mentioned above - many thanks

Its Imag!ne wimax broadband with a motorola router

I tried selecting the channel manually but no luck that way either and there is definitely no typo in the code - very frustrating!

I thought, i may just be doing something wrong but if others have had this issue its probably down to the iPhone it seems. As I said, my laptop connected seamlessly to the network without any bother

Do Setting-> General->Reset-> Reset Network setting , enter you code Ph will restart then try to enter the Key again.
if still doesn't work then Step 2.

Are you trying to copy paste the key? if yes then try manually to enter the key.

Im typing it in manually, its only 9 characters

I use my iPhone with WPA2 on my Airport Extreme no problem.
Try going into Settings>Wi-Fi, click the blue circle with white arrow next to you network name, then click Forget this Network and try again.
The password will be shown digit by digit briefly as you type it so make sure of your case, etc. when you do it.

The other thing could be your router setting, Have a look if the key is shared or Open and change the setting from there.
Or wait for someone who might have better solution.

Do you have MAC address filtering enabled on your router? If so you need to add the iPhone MAC Address to it before it will join the network

I just tried that there. I temporarily disabled wpa2 and connected to it while unsecured, then when i re-enabled wpa2 it prompted me for the code again and accepted it!

    Thanks :)
