Just wondering, I did some subbing a couple of years ago and don't recall getting holiday pay for the time I did. Are you entitled to holiday pay as a sub and do I have to get on to them to be paid it?

Subs get a higher daily rate as they do not get holiday pay.

whys is it a pity? Subs get a higher rate of pay so effectivley they are getting holiday pay just not seperately. if you a on a contract you get paid for holidays = less daily payment. This of course depends on the contract soem contracts are from Aug - June but if so you are getting paid more at the sub rate
