Recent Sky + HD installation but some channels are blocky?

Hi, Specifically ITV HD on all available freq seem very blocky and jumpy this evening but also happens on some recordings and now on rte etc occasionally. Signal is next near full with quality the same .... so very confused. Anyone else have similer issues or advise as installer was back out and says the allignment is ok?

Specifically ITV HD on all available freq seem very blocky and jumpy this evening but also happens on some recordings and now on rte etc occasionally. Signal is next near full with quality the same .... so very confused. Anyone else have similer issues or advise as installer was back out and says the allignment is ok?

Sky HD can be fussy if the downconverter (oscillator) is not quite to spec on the lnb . A power off and re boot can sometimes sort this out.

Hi Tony. Unfortunately i have tried that. There is an octo LNB on the dish, and have tried the power off/on and also the installer retried a full software install/download again. I also have an old sky + box running fine with no issues and a new standard sky box which quality is about mid or slightly over but have no issues with either of these. Only the new sky + hd box. The installer said that if the software update didnt help that he would replace the box ?? the signal and quality bars are pretty much full on both on most channels? at least rte, tv3, home, e|entertainment and BBCHD.

Good shielded cable throughout to all boxes and possibly only 1 or 2 joins on some of the cables. The HD box is straight from the HD box to the dish. No DECT phones in the house but the is 802.11g wifi in the house but not near the box or dish.

ITVHD was fine until this evening. Thanks for you help mate.

Looks like you have narrowed it down to the box itself i'd say since the others work ok and you have chacked out the lnb.

itvhd was a bit flakey for me, the last couple of days,
I put it down to the testing or whatever they are doing.
