As far as predictions go, I'll go for wins for the Blues, Cats, Hawks, Saints, Lions, Power, Crows and the Pies.

Good to have the footy back. Enjoy Round 1 folks and good luck to your team for the next 6 months. May the best team win! :D

Is it 2001 again...Lions fans will be delighted anyway :pac:

As for predictions I'll go with

    Carlton
    Geelong
    Hawks
    Sydney in a thriller
    Brisbane
    North
    Adelaide
Collingwood (although there's only my bias splitting them!)

Champions: Geelong to create the dynasty by winning a third
    Runners Up: Bulldogs
    Brownlow: Dal Santo
    Coleman: Riewoldt
Rising Star: Dustin Martin as pretty much Richmond's best player in his 1st year
Surprise Packet: Sydney to make the 8 comfortably
Diasappointment: Hawthorn to miss the 8 again
Wooden Spoon: Richmond will be lucky to get a win

Just watching week 1 on TG4 at the moment (recorded it last night), great start to the season for Setanta.

Fair play to him for sticking with it.

Yeah he has worked out that its more advantageous to punch the ball and not your own players ;)
