I need to get my daughter (12YR) a set of golf clubs. She has grown out of a junior set and now needs a full adult set. What would you recommend complete set or get a set of irons for now and buy drivers and rescue woods after. Are these sets any good this or this. I will spend around €300. Thanks.

i do a bit of coaching in a school and a lot of the 12-14 year olds use 'us kids golf',they sell them up in McGuirks and they're very nicely weighted,

I'd take her to a good pro who could look at her swing and "fit" her.

I'd not go for a "full" set but would get her a good half set. She'll learn how to hit 3/4 and 1/2 shots that will improve her feel.

Yes she is tall for her age 5' 6" and is starting lessons in the next 2 weeks. Took a few lessons last year as well. Thing is, do you invest in the brand name clubs or go with complete sets until she has a full handicap which she will get this year during the summer months.

ive no idea how good your daughter is, but i seen some really nice (looks and weighted) Dunlop clubs in Heatons, €28 per iron. They are in Heatons.

Heatons also have some ace Greg Norman gear, hats, tshirts, and so forth.
I might get myself some of that :)
