I never really use mine as there's so little functionality (when used with a Canon 40d anyway) you can't use rear curtain sync, it doesn't work with my triggers and there's very little manual intervention possible in what it decides to do.

Personally I wish I'd saved a bit more and bought a dedicated canon flash. But then it might work for you, I don't really know what I'm doing with flash anyway (keep meaning to look up that strobist website).

    its a fine flash

there is a way to make it work with triggers, just small amount of tweaking needed

i dont use it on camera so wouldnt use it like i would my 580

but works fine as a slave
