Hi Guys, Small problem. I've broken the wee pin in the center of my dc jack on the back of the laptop, and now it charges when it feels like it. Is it a big job to replace said jack and if not where might one aquire one. I've had a cursory look on the net and got completely baffled. Any ideas?

I've attached a very rough drawing....

I replaced the jack in my inspiron 2200 with one of these. I worked fine but it was a real pain in the *** to fit. I had to completely dismantle the laptop to remove the motherboard to fit it. It is not something I would relish doing again but it is do-able.

If you can find the jack suitable for your model hopefully just replacing it should solve the problem.
