    Hi all

Just rang the Turkish embasssy asking about Vis requirements to Turkey. they said that I can apparently get it on arrival, I pay 15 quid and they stamp my passport at the airport. Not saying I doubt their word for it, but I just want to confirm it from any of the people in the know here.

I have been to Turkey once, it is as they have described you pay at the border and get the stamp in your passport, nothing to worry about :)

as a seasoned traveller to Turkey, just a little bit of advice. Have €15 in exact amounts to hand - don't look for change! and don't confuse the issue by trying to pay for two of you with three tenners or worse still two €20's! The quickest and easiest way to get through is to have the exact amount of cash in Euro per person. Otherwise you could be put to the end of the queue until they get change from other people! Just a little tip from me to you!

Also, if you do any day trips to any of the Greek islands, you will not need to clear visa control again - the one visa covers you for 3 mths multiple entry.

You can now do the visa bit online. It's cheaper than doing it in person and not all entry points have the capability to do it in person as they have phased it out since 2014.

The web address is www.evisa.gov.tr and it should cost $20 instead of £20 in person.

We bought ours online and my OHs card got scammed so I would definitely pay on arrival given the chance again. If u cant do this try pay with a prepaid credit card

Did you use the link I provided. This is the government provided one. Don't use any other one.

Some airports don't allow you to buy a visa and no visa no entry.
