Rats @25m. They are ment for a smooth bore rifle. Spread is A4 paper @25m with lots of gaps between the shot.

Have heard they'll muck up rifling. Wouldn't use them, personally, because of this.

I've bought a box of them to get rid of unwanted birds in a mates shed. Never did use them yet. His brother chased then out and he let rip with the 12 bore.

Heard when shot out of a rifled 22 they leave a donut shaped pattern with a lovely hole where your aiming. Clivej may know better as I've never used em, yet. I'll have to the next few weeks. I'll report my findings.

I've there bad for your barrel too, how can soft lead damage hardened steel???

I'm only repeating what I have read.

The son used the rat shot in his CZ lux 22lr and was shooting rats @30m but has now gone back to using the subs.

We let a few rounds off at A4 paper at 20m ish and the rat shot peppered the paper. Give them a try a few boxes won't harm your rifling IMO.
