    Hi,

I'm planning a trip to Russia in a few weeks and I'll need to get a visa stuck into my passport. I'm waiting on the invite and other associated paperwork but can anyone tell me if is possible for me to drop my passport into the embassy in the morning and collect it later that day?

I know about the electronic application form, photos, travel insurance, etc, I did it last year but I posted my passport in, I don't have the time this time around though to post it in so I'd like to hand deliver it and collect it the same day if possible.

    Thanks in advance,

    Frank.

It's been a couple of years since I did something similiar twice - invite arrives from the hotel overnight and then mad dash to embassy in the morning to get the visa and then mad dash out to the airport - if you have all the documentation they huff and puff but charge €100 ( approx ) and will process it before 12.30 - the office at the front of the embassy closes then.

Things may have changed - worth trying to get in contact with the embassy - I assume you are travelling on a tourist visa

Thanks I'm, yes, I'll be on a tourist visa. I figured alright they would huff and puff, I'll call them tomorrow if I get a chance.

    Regards,

    Frank.
