A few questions about classical guitar...

    Hey,
Right now I'm learning the bach prelude d minor (bwv 999) & I'm falling in love with the sound, so I'm thinking of switching to classical guitar, but I have a few questions

I've noticed you can get classical guitars with different fretboard sizes (one similar to the acoustic & one slightly wider), is there a real difference, should I be going for one over the other?

Also, I can't read music:eek:, & can't afford lessons, so I'm really just left with books.
are there any classical books in tab form? or at least slowly teach you how to read music, through classical guitar?

I'd love to hear any info,
    thanks.

The necks are wider to allow a little more space between the strings so your right hand (if you're right handed) can pluck. Learning to read music is much easier than it looks - a good book with tab too is Pumping Nylon by Scott Tennant. If you're learning the 999, then I'd learn it as a series of chord shapes. I'd definately recommend classical rather than any other so you can build a good technique...
