    More than likely you just blown some fuses, so take your
    time and check all the fuses, both the big 40-60amp and small
    ones, also check the internal fuses box inside the car too.
    Good luck, hope you get it sorted.

    thanks for the reply i think i have located the fuse it appears to be one of the main fuses which are located under the bonnet beside the battery there is about 5 high amp fuses there its the first fuse 80 amp you cant just pull it out there is a 10 mm screw whit the positive ht lead attached to it,i connected a small strand of wire across it and hey presto i had power to the lights so i turned on the ignition and had dash lights the battery is to low to turn over the engine so its on charge at the moment ill give it a go tomorrow
    thanks again for your interest

    Glad you've found the problem, Get yourself to a main dealer and
    get the right fuse and replace it.
    Blown many a fuse myself, all part of the joys of motoring.
    Live and learn. :)

    You'll get that fuse in any motor factors.

    Make sure you replace the proper fuse asap.

    Many an engine fire has been started by improvised fuses

    Thanks for your support lads,i got the fuse {4euro}i fitted it no big problem
    there is two small 10mm bolts holding in the fuse i just took the fuse holder which is held to the mounting whit a 10 mm screw undone the two 10mm bolts slipped out the fuse, replaced the fuse and put it all back turned the key and probably solved,still don't understand why the fuse went in the first place.{just one of them things i suppose}
    Once again thanks for your advice and support.:):):):)
    Regards
