    Hi
This is mostly to anyone using using MediaPortal and the WebEPG grabber taking EPG data for RTE 1 & 2 from radiotimes.

I've noticed in the last couple of days that WebEPG hasn't pulled any data for RTE channels, and some others but RTE is what Im mostly annoyed by. I'm just wondering if anyone else has had the same problem. I can get the data for TV3, TG4 and all other UK channels no problem.

    Thanks.

Hi tommiejoie , I use a Mediaportal based system for all my media needs including TV. I don't bother using the WebEPG grabber or radiotimes . I pull the EPG directly from the DVB source ( Irish DTT carries a 7 day EPG) . The funny thing I had the same problem using the DVB source , but all is ok now.

Anyway If you are using Mediaportal 1.1 RC1 there is a plugin that can pull all UK Freesat and Sky EPG data along side Irish DTT direct from the DVB source , no internet connection is needed. " http://forum.team-mediaportal.com/general-development-no-feature-request-here-48/sky-uk-uk-freesat-epg-43261/ "

Also with the RC1 release there was a problem with one of the dll files that for me caused black screens or snowy grainy images on My TV. A replacement dll file can be found here " http://forum.team-mediaportal.com/me...vi-dxva-78501/ " download the core.zip file extract it to the media-portal program folder over-riding the original.

Thanks for the advice but it's no good for me unfortunately, I'm running loop thru from a Chorus box so my only option is the webepg.

    can you use xml sources?
xmltv should be able to get listings for you

XMLTV is what's used in MediaPortal

Anyway, the problem fixed itself. From looking into this I think the online xml feed used (radiotimes) must not have updated correctly over the last few days, hence no listing were captured for these channels.

For future reference, if anyone has a similar problem you may want to check out the radiotimes xmltv channel list (http://xmltv.radiotimes.com/xmltv/channels.dat) and the channel data itself (eg RTE1 #231 http://xmltv.radiotimes.com/xmltv/231.dat) just to check if that is the root cause.
