If you are buying for some workgroup storage in a business environment it should be fine, way overkill for a home setup.

Qnap have a good reputation and this has a great feature list .... but because it is not really a "home" nas it's probably hard to get many / worthwhile reviews.

6 possible disks (including the two esata ports) could get you a nice reliable setup (e.g. raid5 + hot spare) .... but the chassis is departmental at best and so its likely to be single psu, and contain other single point of failures ... upgrades are probably disruptive to traffic etc.

If you dont need the reliability or extra storage space I would recommend going for a lower spec/tier qnap box.
