    Hi,
I have a necklace that has considerable sentimental value that needs to be repaired. Some stones need to be reset but I have seen some really crap repairs in my time. I'm hoping that someone out there can direct to a person that can specialise in this, I don't care where I have to go- as long as it is done right.

    Hoping someone can help..

i have a necklace that lost a stone which was an awkward shape- i checked with a few jewellers in galway - one - a well established jeweller- said there was no way to set a replacement stone, that it just couldnt be done, another said it would cost about 250, and could fall out again.

i went to Jack Dylans in Westport, and they send it to a local repairer for evaluation and i got a call to say it could be done, it would be permanent, but that it might take a while to find the exact shade of sapphire to match the rest of the setting. a few weeks later it was done.

it came out perfect, you wouldnt even know that it ever had a repair, and ended up costing about 70 i think. my mum got 2 rings repaired there, and they were also perfect.

i dont know their repairers name, but im sure you could email them to discuss further. sales@jackdylanjewellery.com. im not affiliated with them, just a very satisfied customer.
