I would have to take issue with your moment of the championship. What's the reasoning there?

It took real balls to land it, it was over as soon as Parks struck it. Plus, a few years ago when he had the 'bottler' tag, you know he would have missed it.

Tbh I'll probably remember something better later.

Edit: Ah Wales' comeback against Scotland.

Newcomer has to be Morgan Parra, seems to have nailed scrumhalf and kicker down after one tournament.

I meant newcomer as being a Six Nations debutante this season, Parra definitely featured last season iirc.

OP Can I ask a question because you do this a lot. If you are going to form an opinion why not have the conviction to stand by it instead of going back and editing your post when someone offers up an alternative?
As for the championship it was underwhelming overall and France were deserving winners. Their victory over Ireland was the performance of the tournament.

Fair point, I do it a lot. By nature, I'm indecisive.

I couldn't remember a better moment than Dan Parks' kick.

When I did, I changed my mind. Danthefan didn't offer an alternative.

You better offer some reasons for this, or I'll assume you are trolling.

Player of the Tournament: Imanol Harinordoquy (Possible candidate for player of the year, a bit early I know but still)
Bubbling Under: Morgan Parra, Dan Parks, Tommy Bowe, Mirco Bergamasco

Irish Player of the Tournament: Tommy Bowe

Young Player/Newcomer of the Tournament (first season in Six Nations): Johnnie Beattie
Bubbling Under: Keith Earls, Ben Foden, Marc Andreu

Disappointment of the Tournament (Player): Jonny Sexton, had such great hopes for him at the start of the tournament but sadly it looks like his poor form off the tee has returned. Hopefully he can sort it out again because he offers so many more options in both attack and defence.

Try of the Tournament: Shane Williams vs France

Moment of the Tournament: Our two centurians.

Game of the Tournament: Wales vs Scotland

Worst Game of the Tournament: Couldn't choose between Scotland vs England and France vs England, both dire.

Disappointment of the Tournament (Team): England, so one dimensional they were like watching paint dry, although they seem to have stumbled on some form of an exciting backline by the final match.

Was 2010 Six Nations better than 2009: From a neutral perspective, yes, wearing my green tinted glasses, no.

Brainfart of the Tournament: Dan Parks not settling for the draw in Cardiff. Also this board descending into farce right after today's match, really thought we were better than that.

    Six Nations Dream Team:
Domingo, Servat, Mas, Nallet, Hamilton, Brown, Barclay, Harinordoquy, Parra, Parks, Bergamasco, Jauzion, BOD, Bowe, Poitrenaud

Really? Parks had limped off before the restart, so a bit harsh to blame him for something taht happened when he wasn't there!!

If he kicked the restart out intentionally wouldnt it of been a penalty?

    Yes it would.

However Michalak did it against Wales and nothing happened.

No it wouldn't. It's not a penalty offence to kick a restart out on the full.

Brainfart of the tournament was Flannery's boot into Palisson.
Brainshart would go to Powell's Golf Buggy antics leading to his omission from the Welsh squad.

Only one player finished with a 100% kicking record.

Ferris was Irish player of the tournament for me.

Tait was the most dissapointing player of the tournament for me. Wasn't helped by awful ball from Wilkinson but did nothing with any of it. Has the ability to glide through back lines but it never happened for him.

    Yes it would.

However Michalak did it against Wales and nothing happened.

I think you might be thinking of deliberately passing it out or diving out.

To "intentionally" kick a ball out in the full from a re-start is a penalty but then how could the ref decide it was intentional:confused: I thought the best option was to kick it within the 10 meter area, scrum awareded to the opposing team but no time for the scrum:D

Did Michalak's kick not bounce out?

Overall I enjoyed the tournament, as I almost always do, highs and lows etc... it just gives us rugby fans great days out and even in loss you can look for positives in your own teams.
I could go over a number of things I've seen and disliked on the boards about the games, teams and players but not what this is about...

Anyway, roll on next year and the absolute hassle it's going to be to get tickets for the Aviva....

read a piece on PR which stated that the law had been reviewed, and that if the ball either didn't go 10, or went dead/in to touch, it would be a free kick to the opposition from the halfway line, apparently. At least in the case of it occuring after time.
