CATERING business idea

    Hi All,

    I have just became unemployed few days ago. Took me few days to put my thoughts together and came out with something i need an advice.

    Cooking and serving at peoples homes.
    Italian, chinese and local cuisine.

    Would You say it could make sense?
    Will i find a market for it?
    What kind of legal issues will i have to face at first?

    I have been working for small marketing company. Running around, buying bits, putting printing and deliveries together around the country.
    I used to work as a chef time ago and loved it. Thought it would be great to "reheat" the old skill.

    I would appreciate ALL comments.

    For it to work you need to pitch it at the very well to do and there's not many of them around at the moment. Another angle is to look at boardroom/corporate entertainment scene. The major banks, blue chip companys etc.

    Another angle is to hire your services to pubs for theme nights. Chinese/ Italian etc. If you're a good enough chef you could do a bit of research on the indigenous foods for the various countries in the world cup and offer theme nights to pubs for the world cup? Now is the time for marketing it! You've only got two months to make a killing!!:)
