    Direct? None.

    Bus+bus or bus+Dart.

Nothing direct buy you may be quicker going via town and the DART or 46A. Alternatively, you could go for the 17 or 18 and hit the Dart or the 46A off them.

Get the 17 from KCR to Blackrock Dart Stn. and get it to Dun Laoghaire from there

Bearing in mind that the 17 is the most notoriously unreliable bus in Dublin. Unless things have improved dramatically recently, which I doubt.

That's isn't Kimmage, good man; that's Perrystown and it's just as well you said as it changes the buses option entirely. 15A from the Whitehall Road East at the Pines or the 150 from Whitehall Road West (the playing fields at the top of the road into town and the DART or 46A; maybe the 7 or 8 depending on where in Dun Laoghaire you are going.

The 17 from Kimmage Road West is still an option BTW as is the 19A from here but it's slower into town.

    i thought it's in kimmage...

    tks!

so, is it 15A + 7 is the best choice if i want to go to dun laoghaire town?

i think 15A is quite frequent and reliable, right!?

The 7 is more direct compared to the 46A, yeah. It or the DART should do you.

If you don't fancy going through town, and it's a nice day, you could also walk to Butterfield Avenue in Templeogue and catch the 75 from there which brings you to Dun Laoghaire.

If you're going through town, the option given with the 15A and the 7 is best. Hop off the 15A at the bottom of Dawson Street and cross over to get the 7 on Nassau Street along the side wall of Trinity. Coming back, get off the 7 at Clare Street and walk the short distance to Nassau Street to catch the 15A.

If you are going to catch the bus, you should consider getting a prepaid weekly/monthly ticket or a Transfer 90 which allows you board as many buses as you like in 90 minutes but only pay one fare.

    THANKS again, guys.

    I am a good walker.

Just the 75 is not that frequent than 15A.

How long does it take to walk from Muckross Park to Templeogue? 20 minutes?

Hehehhe, mature student here, can get cheap prepaid bus ticket (75E for 30 days!). So, DART is not an option cos' too expensive for me.

You'd be walking a good 20 minutes+ to the Firhouse Road; the 15A or 150 would have you close to town in that time.

Ham, that's true. I am so tempted by the 'DIRECT BUS' journey instead of cathing buses in between...

THANKS all you guys, will do a little experiment myself and see how things go.
