    Hi,

Looking for abit of advice / information here.

Have my i phone 3gs for less than a year so i know its covered by warranty and have insurance on it as well.

A few weeks ago the connection on my ear phone port and the charger port seemed to go abit dodgy, have to keep fidleing around with ear phones to get sound and the charger port to actually charge the thing.

Didnt really bother me at first but now its so bad that i can barely use any of the accesories ive bought (car fm tuner, av composite cable etc)

So im looking to bring it in and fixed - assuming this is ware and tear so is this covered by insurance or warranty?

Also the phone is jailbroken - will i have to do a restore to normal settings before i bring it in?

    Thanks
