Aer Lingus Cork-Berlin axed?

I have been trying to book a flight for some time now between Cork and Berlin for some time in June, but the website says that no flights are scheduled for the whole of June and afterwards. The thing is, one can easily book a flight from Cork to Amsterdam for that month, so I'm not sure that it's just a case of the website…

Perhaps I've missed the announcement, but has Cork to Berlin been cancelled?

Certain routes are seasonal - Cork to Geneva being one of them, it's quite likely that Cork Berlin is another winter route.

Ridiculous to drop Berlin, one the biggest cities in Europe. Munich is left with a connection to Cork.

Yeah it surprised me really - we still have a large population of Polish folk and Western-Poland is only a short trip from Berlin.

I had a look one day and Cork <> Dublin with Ryanair and Dublin <> Berlin with EI was turning out quite reasonable.

Anotehr option would be Cork - Krakow with WizzAir and get a train back to Berlin but that strikes me as probably dear and tiring.

As part of their ongoing spats Rynair dropped the Shannon - Berlin route as well which makes Aer Lingus' actions even stranger.
