Cooling problem - 3870x2's

Have two 3870x2's running in crossfire in a XPS730 and I've noticed that when I'm running them while gaming that the sides of one will usually get very hot (it would actually burn your finger if you were to touch it for a few seconds). Is this within norms for these type of cards, I mean I know graphics cards will heat up during use but this is really hot and it only effects one of them?? The pci fan will usually come on full blast and stay that way for awhile if I've had the comp on for a few hours.

Should I get some sort of graphics card cooler or maybe my cards are knackered??
