Why is my laptop so slow?

    A week ago my laptop just began working really slow, it takes ages to open up a program; impossible to browse the net or even use Microsoft Word.

    Sounds like some sort of virus, but I have Bullguard which is all the time scanning everything and updating itself.

    Any way something could have gotten through Bullguard?

    Or if I just like, rebooted my laptop, would it help?

    You might check MyComputer->Properties to check it can access all the RAM it should have, and TaskManager can tell you how busy the CPU is
