Getting out of a contract

I signed a 12 month lease for an apartment. I found making the rent installments very difficult and Iv paid up until May. The contract is until August but I simply cannot pay the next installment. Is there any way I can get out of this?

I think you should explain your situation to your landlord.

You are entitled to nominate an (acceptable) replacement tenant, but it may be difficult to find someone at the price.

You find it difficult to make the payments, but you paid up 2 months in advance ?
