How bad would it be if the English stole all the good ideas.

At least they are trying to be cost effective I suppose, we're propping them up at this stage.
I suppose it's about time they got some perspective...
    Bloody fat cats...

Edit: Just thinking, if I was running a company and had the possibility to outsource stuff to other countries in order to make large savings, I certainly would.
Can't complain if others are doing it, this country is the biggest rip off since small bottles of coke etc started costing more than 2ltr bottles...

Why do people get so worked up about small things?

Plus under EU law the state has to put things to open tender and can no longer support Irish businesses in the manner of the past. Effectively all EU companies can tender and the best and cheapest solution is to be found. There are a few exceptions but hosting certainly isn't one of them. Ireland has benefited from this greatly.

When there're no big things to get worked up about, gotta get worked up about something.

Actually, that's not specific to Ireland. Small bottles of coke cost more than a 2l one in New Zealand too. I couldn't believe it when I first saw it.

    Ya.. its madness.

I often buy one or two 600ml bottles at a time. Its easier to keep in your bag.
Sometimes shop assistants have asked in a confused manner as to why I don't buy a 2l or 1.5l coke :/

    Ah, but that's perfectly reasonable.
