I'm in 1st Corporate, the civils take other law subjects such as family law and constitutional law in 1st year that the corps don't which i'd imagine you would have to have covered before going into 2nd year civil law.

So basically id say your best chance is getting into first year civil law from september. Get in contact with the Law dept in NUIG and they should be able to give you the best advice.!

Its grand now, it can be difficult at times! i was not fully sure if i wanted to do law and since i loved economics and got an A1 in it in the Lc i thought this would be a good mix! but now i much prefer the law subjects to the commerce ones, i didnt do accounting for the LC and find it very difficult as do most! but i am also pretty bad for lectures in that subject! all in all i thought id find teh commerce subjects easier and law subjects harder. but in my opinion i think law is more manageable for me while the commerce subjects require constant work and attention!
but from 2nd yr you take more law subjects and only 2 commerce subjects each semester!

    overall though i enjoy it!
