As a keen Sigur Ros fan, who found Riceboy Sleeps very disappointing, I have just had my first listen to "Jonsi - Go" and I think it is absolutely excellent. It is very up beat, and although similar to Sigur Ros, is different in its own right.

Has anyone else heard it, what are your thoughts?

I thought Riceboy was OK-ish...must give Jonsi a listen. Its weird cos I thought Riceboy Sleeps was his solo project thingy and now hes got his REAL solo project out, hard to keep up with him!! :D

I like Go, think it sounds a little like Moby (bar the vocals), but that's not a bad thing. Couple of nice tracks on there, especially Tornado.

Wonderful album. I thought it sounded a bit like Moby too! Well, parts of it did. I love the tempo of the drumming. First two tracks are probably my favorites

Giving it it's first listen now. Liking what I hear so far.

I have to say I didnt get that it sounded like Moby, but I have never listened to much to him so maybe I dont get it!

I love it, think it is very upbeat, and very Jonsi!

I agree with other posts and I am glad that he has done his solo stuff, but please PLEASE run back to Sigur Ros and make a new album! I have read online that they have shelved plans to make an album at the moment as they all had children recently and are leaving Jonsi to do his solo thing. I would love to hear a new album from them though, hope they dont put it off for too long!

But loving Jonsi at the moment, really impressed with the entire album

Interview in the Irish Times on Friday last mentioned that new Sigur Ros album will happen soon I my memory serves me right.

In the time being 'Go' is an amazing album. 'Tornado' is heartbreak beautiful and 'Boy Lilikoi' is simply superb.

I love the way he sings 'womit' instead of 'vomit' on that track!

    Cant agree more!

He has been named for Electric Picnic. I would LOVE to see him, but 240€ is just a bit too steep, a few others acts I wouldnt mind seeing, but on the whole noone else I really want to see.

Wish he would just do his own gig..

I have to say Jonsi is pretty ****e. No problem with it not being Sigur Rós, just think it's crap.

I think it's great...I'd say I've listened to it twice now and my favourites so far have to be tornado and hengilás...also love Boy Lilikoi. Where's Alex gone?! :D It's one thing of getting rid of Sigur Ros...but Alex? Not on.:p

Im glad that he got rid of Alex!! I just wasnt a big fan of The Riceboy Sleeps stuff at all. As far as I know he is still with Alex, just doing his own solo stuff at the mo.

Totally agree that the album is brill, My fav is def Tornado, but love the whole thing.
