What simple thing gives me a warm glow inside?

Putting a big ass 300 quid graphics card in my pc, then firing up graphical tour de force of a game.

    Emmmmmmmmmmm.

I second that. Cruising around in my sexy old beemer coupe with the sunroof open, on a rare warm day, is nice too.

A Saturday with friends watching sport in the pub. Simple and effective.

Just the thought of a day in my shed trying to make something cheers me up. In fact,I often escape there in my head when having a bad day. Kinda sad I know.

    -New socks.
-Waking up at dawn with birds singing and that beautiful soft light.
-Playing with dogs, or any animal.
-Seeing a family member/friend who means a lot to you that you haven't seen in a long time.
-Coming home and finding your favourite meal on the table.
-The first few rumbles of a proper thunderstorm (I don't think anyone who's never left Ireland would truly know what this is like).
-The smell of earth and grass after a rain.
-That hot, dry smell on the first hot day of the year.
-Curling up in front of a blazing fire in the dead of winter with a good book, warm blanket, and a dog (or cat, if you're that way inclined.)
-Working hard at something that may not have significance to anyone other than yourself, and accomplishing/perfecting/mastering it.
-Falling into bed after a physically exhausting day.
-Cooking something you've never made before that turns out better than you ever expected.
-The feeling after you've cleaned the whole house and made it utterly spotless after a raging house party.
-Having someone appreciate something you've done without you ever mentioning it to them or asking for recognition.

I have loads of these, but I'll stop now!

I love the first few sunny days in spring that give you that summer excitement feeling. Also I love listening to music and getting lost in the song.

+1 Except for the driving part. Government won't allow me to drive. I can't drive.

Waking up not hungover. Finding a fiver in me wallet when I thought I was down a fiver.

Ha no. I've never driven. I just know if I tried, an FBI agent would run up and put a lock on the steering wheel....

    "Sorry ma'am, we can't allow this"..... "Fuhk off I'm a man"....."Sure"

    Edit: Common? How dare you!

When you're incredibly tired all day and at long last hit the pillow and just pass out. Wake up later. And just pass out again. Such a deep relaxing feeling.

I love the smell of napalm hair-dye in the morning.

Wearing something new for the first time, knowing you look damn fine in it.

Being indoors when the rain is drumming down outside.

Getting into bed and not setting the alarm, knowing you can sleep as long as you want.

The first text you get from someone you like with an 'x' added to the end.
