Ok this is unusual but i was given €20 today by my workmate to place on a horse because i live beside the bookmakers and i totally forgot about placing the bet and now the horse has come in. :(

It was on the gold cu
    10 euros each way
    @ odds of 15/2

So i am going to have to pay this guy as this was my mistake. What would his return have been from the bookmakers as his total stake was €20

    Thanks

Ps. before anyone asks yes i was going to return his money :)

Read "It was on the Gold Cup", plus Imperial Commander was 17/2 at one stage.

Hardly rocket science to notice who it was on.

Maybe see what your mate says...if it had lost he would probably have expected his score back. Know the feeling though. Granny asked me to put a fiver on Silver Birch in the National a few years back but had already been to bookies and couldn't be arsed. Not only did it win at 33/1 but beat mine into second too. Felt bad teling my Nanna I hadn't put it on so handed over more than 200 quid. She hadn't even given me money up front and was asking why I hadn't taken the early price of 40/1

I'd see what he says and maybe pay him a percentage of it if he's cool with it.

I'd expect my friend to pay 50% of it. Depends on how skint I was though
