    Hello all,

We have a band in Galway thats ready to gig now (i.e. 30 min support slots) We've done the graft in the studio but basically we are a bit at a loss finding anywhere to gig here that does not involve covers.

We are new to the music scene in the west as we are a band of blow-in's with no contacts yet so we're in a bit of a pickle.

is there anywhere/anyone to approach in
Galway/West or are we looking at driving to Dublin for a gig?
I had a look at the resources but the whole country revolves around Dublin pretty much!

    Thanks in advance

Check out Fureys Pub in Sligo.

Off the top of my head I'd say the Róisín Dubh would be worth a shout but I assume you've already tried there.

Most of the other bars in Galway that do live music seem to be very covers-orientated sadly.

Baker Place in Limerick would be a good start, they always have origional bands there, of any genre.
