I've discovered this rather good web-based resource last night:
    http://www.uv.es/jrtorres/triatlas.html

There are 5 different star chart sets, all free for download:

    Set A is 25 A4 charts showing 9 mag stars, chart size: 47º x 67º, portrait, mono.
    Set B is 107 A4 charts showing 11 mag stars, chart size: 21º x 30º, portrait, mono.
    Set M is 218 A4 charts showing 11.1 mag stars, chart size: 14º x 20º, portrait, mono.
    Set C is 571 A4 charts showing 12.6 mag stars, chart size: 8º x 12º, portrait, mono.
    Set P is 56 A3 charts showing 9.8 mag stars, chart size: 42 x 30º, landscape, mono.

If you have the ability to print off these look like being a great scope-side companion.

Another interesting item I located was a set of 5800 standardised minicharts that show the approximate location in an eyepiece field of view. This is 120 pages of A4 printed out and each chart has the same limiting magnitude and scale. This would help those that are wondering 'did I really see that?'
    This is available from http://www.cloudynights.com/item.php?item_id=1237

To top it off, here's celestial mapping software with a GSC, to mag 15.
