I currently have a sly mini dish and a vu+ duo receiver and am looking to install a motorised dish. I would like to use both dishes. Thats four cables going into two tuners. What switch can i get that allows me to record something on sly while watching a different satellite. Is it possible?

If you are recording off Astra 2 (Sky) you cannot move the dish to point at another satellite..

Only way to watch two different satellites at the same time is two dishes, or multiple lnbs on the one dish, this second option would not work well with a motorised dish.

Thanks but I know I cant move the dish if its being recorded which is why i want to use the mini dish for the astra and the motorized for everything else.

Most receivers do not support a combination of Diseqc switching and motor control - can the vu+?

In the end I simply plugged a dish into each receiver. The Vu+ Duo allows separate configuration of each tuner.
Now all I need is someone to help me set up this motorised dish. A lot harder then I first thought.
