Filled tooth broken

    Hi all,

Before christmas I had a chipped front tooth filled and it just broke now while eating brown bread (which was very soft)

I rang my dentist and they'll see me on monday.. should I expect to only get 3 months out of a filling like this? Will this cost me every time it breaks? I have taken good care of it but I imagine a front tooth would be subject to wear and tear more so than others?

    It's really inconvenient :(

    Hi

unfortunatley such fillings do break. The bigger it is the more likely it is to happen. You may need something stronger like a crown or veneer

Well had it filled again (as a temporary measure). Going to go back after easter and get a crown , dentist recommended it and said the filling would just keep breaking off after a while.
