I've got a dell laptop, bought it there just before christmas. It's got a built in webcam but for the last month or so whenever I go to use the webcam it tells me I need to plug in a supported device. But then other times it just works normally. I've tried the whole, turn it off turn it back on thing and sometimes this works but that's working less and less frequently now. Anyone got any ideas what could be the problem?

    Cheers

The fact that it's a Dell laptop probably...:(

I'm never buying Dell again, I've decided.

But if you only bought it before Christmas it's probably still on warranty, so you might be able to get someone out to have a look at it for you? Sorry that's not of more help.

Incidentally, do you hang out on the NUIM boards at all, or is that someone else I'm think of.

Yeah I think I'll go back to the shop with it. It's fully insured for 3 years so there shouldn't be a problem.

    And yup, that's me. :)
