Hi lads, Iv been out on illness benefit certs for 13 months now for Depression and anxiety. I recently passed the medical review held by the social welfare. I was wondering would I be entitled to any of the mentioned payments instead of the illness benefit?
The Disability allowance is means tested and I live with my dp and 2 kids so don't know if id get much with his income.
The Invalidity Pension is not means tested and it says you can qualify if your expected to be out for a further 12 months.
Just wondering if anyone has any experience of any of these payments??

By 'passed' do you mean that they have passed you as still sick or passed you as fit for work?

I mean I am still receiving the Illness Benefit. So still not fit for work. The reason I am asking this question is because I do not receive much on the Illness Benefit and I would be better off to transfer to one of the others.

Invalidity pension is base on the number of stamps you have, there is a min number you need.have a look here http://www.citizensinformation.ie/categories/social-welfare/social-welfare-payments/disability-and-illness/invalidity_pension

I could be wrong but i was of the belief that if you have stamps paid that you cannot claim assistance payments till you have used up your stamps, so you would have to claim a benefit/pension first then assistance.

If you get the pension it never runs out,you keep it till your time is up.
